Being the paper lover and creative dabbler that I am, it was bound to happen at some point: I’ve fallen victim to the bullet journal virus. Infected by some lovely workshops at Hello Alice (bullet journaling and hand lettering for dummies ūüėČ), and my general love for lists, I’ve been using mine (sporting a happy jungle cover, duh) on and off for the last few months. I’ve discovered that the agenda/calendar spreads are not for me (still digital all the way in that area), but that to-do lists or simple creative spreads are exactly what I need to clear my head, get organized, or just have a quick shot of creativity.

Aside from being the perfect tool for the¬†endless list of to-dos¬†that seems to be involved in pregnancy, baby-prep and home renovations¬†(and you know: pregnancy brain), I’ve also found it useful to boost my plant care routine. Because I have to admit: since we moved I haven’t been the best of plant parents.¬†Somehow I haven’t found the ideal rhythm yet, and some of our green friends have not adjusted well to their new surroundings. (I always thought this was a myth but it turns out to be true: some plants don’t move well!) Result: a few¬†dying plants (including our banana plant and some bigger cacti…), too many¬†sad-looking plants and one¬†very sad and guilt-stricken plant-lady. Time to get my act together!

Enter a plant mom cheat sheet! Plant care 101 for every member of our plant family, assembled from¬†my favorite plant care books and this nifty thing called the Internet. Nothing but the essence, really: how much water, light and food do each of them need? (Sounds so simple, you wonder how we manage to mess that up in the first place…¬†). Add to that a practical¬†schedule for watering/fertilizing, and I should be back on the jungle track in no time! (Although I have a slight suspicion the little human who will be with us very soon might just throw us off¬†track again :)…) Oh and how cute are those little plant doodles?¬†Thank god for Pinterest and step-by-step drawing tutorials, even I can pull them off that way!

Here’s hoping my creative antics will inspire our little jungle to flourish! ;)
