Hello January, hello winter sales! What do you mean New Year’s resolution? High time to set some goals for smart sales shopping! To avoid aimlessly wandering the isles and caving for that not-fully-flattering-but-oh-so-discounted piece (which will clutter not only your wardrobe but also your looks): a little focus goes a long way. Try to identify a few key pieces you really want/need and go hunt for them. Online shopping (with its amazing filters!) is a godsend for these targeted sales sprees. Make sure you only hunt in the sales sections though ;) #dangerous. And remember: classics and basics are golden; chances are they’ll survive the summer and you’ll still love them next winter.
The two pieces I decided I really really (I mean REALLY) needed to end the season in style are pretty basic: a black skater skirt and a new pair of black booties (to replace the ones that are starting to look a bit worn-out). I found the first one here and am still on the lookout for the second. Wish list: a bit of a heel (for that extra confidence boost), feminine with a touch of ruggedness and a nice detail (so it’s not “just another pair of basic black booties”). Also: I seem to have a weird thing about the nose of the shoe: not too bulky (hello man’s feet!) but not too pointy either (hello loooong feet!). A lazy Zalando browsing session resulted in these 6 candidates. I’m leaning towards the “Lipsy” pair on the bottom right hand corner (just the right combination of sturdy & feminine, and love the gold detail at the back….).
Which pair do you think I should get? :)
