There’s something so precious about those last soft and sunny days in autumn. Colder days are lurking just around the corner and you feel like you have to get the most out of it; soak up some sun and give your favorite summer pieces one more chance to shine. At the end of summer, there are always a few pieces that just haven’t gotten the playing time they deserve, aren’t there? (Yes, that just happened: the first – and probably last – sports reference ever to appear on this blog). That’s Belgian summer weather for ya.
Our trip to Lisbon was a perfect opportunity to remedy that feeling. Armed with a suitcase full of the summer pieces I felt most sad about parting with for the next six months, I was ready for a four day farewell to my summer wardrobe. I was especially pleased with the chance to wear this maxi baby one last time, before boxing it up for hibernation. Light and comfortable with a touch of glam: the perfect city trip piece. Plus the color perfectly matches that of that of the yellow trams, so typical in Lisbon’s streetscape (yes, still a sucker for matching colors), so it might just be the perfect Lisbon piece as well…
Do you have any sunny pieces you’ll be sad to say goodbye to when fall fully kicks in? Make sure to wear them today, now that the sun is still out ;)
